Rebecca obtained her B.A in English and Literary Studies from Veritas University, Abuja and MSc. in Peace, Conflict and Strategic Studies from Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. To build her capacity she has taken some certificate courses and exams some of which are, Conflict Mediation and Conciliation which also inducted her as an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, a certificate on Community Engagement and Accountability with the Red Cross, Compassionate Integrity certificate course from the Mahatman Ghandi institute of Peace, New Delhi, India, a certificate on Digital marketing etc.
Rebecca has over 7 years enthusiastic experience working and partnering with NGOs, schools, and Universities within and outside Nigeria in areas of community engagement, advocacy, project management and implementation, capacity building, Gender, SDGs, Women, Peace and Security and Human Rights.
She currently works with Equal Access International as the Field Coordinator, Kaduna State, Nigeria where she coordinates, mobilizes, and ensures successful implementation of project activities in the three SNC LGAs of the state. She works with and supports the different groups and platforms established by the organization and ensures the organization is up to date with the running of activities through monthly comprehensive report writing and context analysis. She has in the course, conducted several trainings on Early Warning Early Response Mechanisms, Gender Based Violence, Media Engagement among others.
